Samaritans - genius listeners
My dangly ears are not only useful for mopping up gravy for later enjoyment, but also for listening in to others' conversations. Especially Marion's. I of course adhere strictly to International Tibetan Terriers' Confidentially Helping You (ITTCHY) standards so can't tell you what she talks about. Unless there is a lamb chop on offer. But she talks a lot about and not just to the Samaritans, so I know they're very deeply wonderful.
Please feel free to give them very large amounts of your money, or even a fiver. Despite Samaritans being hampered by fleshy, stumpy ears, they manage to apply these to listening exceptionally skillfully to people in the worst imaginable states. And they even listen without their ears, as they're in contact with thousands of people by email, text and letter as well as their well-known phone and drop-in services. Actually, the grooviest place to be with Samaritans is at Festivals. They have a Festival Branch!! How cool is that?! Samaritans. So rock'n'roll.
